A community that knows tornadoes
Harvest's storm history is long. Two F5 tornadoes struck within 30 minutes of each other on April 3, 1974. An F4 hit the Anderson Hills subdivision on May 18, 1995. On April 27, 2011, the EF5 Hackleburg–Phil Campbell tornado did EF4 damage here, again in Anderson Hills, and on March 2, 2012 an EF3 hit the same area. Fallen and split trees are a familiar sight after a front; see storm and fallen trees.

Background
The Harvest area was Cherokee land until the early 1800s. A rail line drove growth from the late 1800s into the early 1900s, until the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway abandoned it in 1929.
Rules
Harvest is unincorporated, so ask Madison County about any tree, clearing or debris rules for your property. State rules on tree surgery permits and Alabama 811 apply.
